About this episode

Baptism is not a Sunday ritual. It’s not about checking a box or adding numbers to a report. Baptism is a declaration of war against sin, a public renouncing of the world and the devil, and a total commitment to follow Jesus.
In this powerful service at Christ Alive Church, we heard stories from around the world of believers who risked their very lives to be baptized — from Iranian women imprisoned for their faith, to Afghani converts facing execution, to pastors who gave everything so others could know Christ. And then we watched as men, women, and children right here in Newton, NC, stepped into the waters of baptism, declaring:
I belong to Jesus, spirit, soul, and body.
His mission is my mission.
There is no turning back.
📖 Key Scriptures:
Romans 6, Galatians 3, Acts 2, Acts 8–9, Matthew 3, John 4
🔥 Key Themes:
Baptism is identification with Christ’s death and resurrection
Baptism is entrance into a new community of believers
Baptism is initiation into mission
Baptism is obedience, not optional — even when it costs everything
Baptism is about living water, not stagnant ritual
From powerful testimonies to anointed worship to entire families being baptized together, this was a service that reminds us: the church is alive, and Jesus is still transforming lives.
