When Paul reached Corinth he was tired and shaken. He chose a different way. No clever talk. No performance. Just Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
This message walks through First Corinthians chapter two and the second missionary journey from Acts. Closed doors in Asia and Bithynia. Jail in Philippi. Riots in Thessalonica. Philosophers in Athens. Then Corinth, where God met weakness with power.
You will hear three anchors for a church in a dark age.
One, an attitude to adopt. Humility and total dependance on Jesus.
Two, an announcement to make. Christ at the center, not politics, not technology, not personalities.
Three, an anointing we need. The presence of the Holy Spirit that moves hearts so faith rests on Gods power and not human wisdom.
If you are weary of trying to win by talent or strategy, this word will call you back to the simple gospel and fresh surrender. May the prayer of Samson be ours. Remember us Lord. Strengthen us one more time.
